Friday the 13th. 13th day in Georgia.
Friday, we had class and got out 3 hours early today. We went and got another rental car and went straight to the beach. We hung out there for about 2 hours, it was fun, I spent about 15 minutes out of the water the whole time. We saw a dolphin about 50 feet off shore and we all thought it was a shark at first since at first, we only saw it's fin. After that, we came back, showered, ate, and went downtown to hang out. We were having a good time, walking around, checking out some cool areas, when all of a sudden a girl comes up and asks us for a light, my buddy had gotten a cigar earlier so he had a light and got her smoking, and he started talking to her, this girl was not that pretty and not that great looking either. She started telling us that her fiance dumped her 2 days before the wedding and she has been walking the streets of Savannah for two weeks and hasn't eaten hardly anything in those two weeks. We kept talking to her and my buddy (he was a little drunk) invited her to come hang with us. We walked around the corner and stopped to talk again (we are still in public, lots of people walking by) and all of a sudden she started grinding on me, I had no idea what to do, so I just had my arms folded and gave weird looks to my friends, then she grinded on my friend and grabbed his you know what.. and then she started talking about how she had the choice between the three of us, and well, one thing led to another AND... we basically told her that we couldn't help her out. she asked us for money after we stopped her from grinding on us. so, we were pretty positive she was a prostitute, and we took off, she tried following us, but we told her NO. it was funny and kinda gross. Anyways, after that, we went back to base. When we got here, everyone had been drinking, and there was one kid surrounded by everyone and he was sweating way bad. I didn't know what was going on, but someone pointed out his Elbow and it was all large and misplaced looking. Apparently, one of the girls here was mad at him because he put his hands on her face and she tried picking him up and then they fell and he dislocated his elbow. Some people took him to the emergency room, and he stayed in the hospital all weekend, and even had to get a surgery on his elbow.
That wraps up Friday.
Saturday. Day 14..
Today we got up early and drove up to Charleston, we had a full day of stuff planned. We got there around 11:30 or so and we went to the place called Patriots Point. We started exploring a Navy Aircraft Carrier that was used in World War 2, it was massive and we explored for about an hour before we had to leave to go on a boat out to Fort Sumpter, Fort Sumpter is an old Civil War Fort. The Civil War started there and was a big part of the war. The boat ride was about 15 - 20 minutes and the fort was on an island in Charleston Harbor really close to the Ocean. We spent an hour at the Fort. It had original cannons from 150 years ago and original walls and brick and all that, it was pretty cool. I also learned that the North used this Fort until the South took it over, and everytime the North tried taking it back, the slaves would help the South rebuild the fort and fortify it's defenses, which kinda seemed funny to me, since the Slaves basically helped the south keep them as slaves longer. Anybody else find that kind of ironic? Anyways, after that, we went back to the Navy Aircraft Carrier and explored for a couple more hours, we saw a bunch of navy airplaces and basically saw everything about the ship, the living quarters, places they ate, all that. And I can honestly say, I am really happy I did not join the Navy. After the ship, we went on a submarine to explore it, this only took about 20 minutes, it was also cool and living quarters were even tighter then on the navy ship. After all this, it was about 6 pm, We were all super tired of walking almost all day, and so we went to get some dinner, TGI Fridays, I wasn't very impressed though, I don't think I like that restaurant, it's the 3rd time I have had it in the last 2 months and it hasn't been that good any of the times. After dinner we drove back to base, I went in my room and watched the tv show "chuck" and went to bed.
Day 15. Sunday.
Today I was woken up by a text from the kid in the hospital, he needed a ride home and said he was about to be discharged.. So, I was the only one around, I went to pick him up. I got there and he was waiting for a doctor to sign him off and let him go. I was hungry so I went to the cafeteria and got food, and got Peters a coke. I came back, I ate, we watched scrubs, watched more scrubs, he showered, we watched Taxi, started watching Anger Management, and finally the doctor showed up, about 4 hours after I got there. They took off his bandages and I saw his elbow, about a 6 inch incision and about 50 staples were in his arm, it was gnarley looking. They gave him some metal arm brace and rewrapped his arm. We took off, got back to base just in time to leave again to go get dinner with some other fellas. They went to Zaxbys, I ran across the street to Arbys. We then just came back to base, it's 8:07, I am going to go to my room soon and shower and get ready for bed. All is well here. Looking forward to coming home. I hope all is well back home. Bye everyone.

Ten through Twelve.
Ten. Tuesday.
We had another quiz today, I got 100%.
After class I took a large nap before my Midnight showing of Harry Potter. I woke up around 9 pm and just played on the internet until I went to the movie. We got there about an hour early and most of that time was spent in line. We watched the movie and got back to base around 3:30 am and I got to bed successfully without waking up my roommate. Which was good.
Eleven. Wednesday.
Today I was tired pretty much all day because of my late night, but, I was happy. I didn't do anything today except eat dinner and play xbox in the day room with some of the guys, watched a couple episodes of The Big Bang Theory and was asleep by 10. My room mate took off until Sunday, so I have the room to myself again. Makes life better. So, Wednesday was a relaxing day.
Twelve. Thursday.
Today we had yet another quiz, I got 100%. we got released from class 2 hours early. I played on my laptop for a bit, and then me and a few guys went to Wyles Championship Bar-B-Que for dinner, which is some of the best bbq I have ever had. Pats BBQ in Salt Lake City is still my favorite place I think, so if you haven't ever been there, I recommend Pats. Anyways, after BBQ we went to a guitar store to look at guitars for one of the guys, he didn't buy one, just wanted to check some out. After that, we went to the mall to walk around, I didn't buy anything, but, it was still nice to just sorta do nothing and something at the same time... After that, we went to Walmart cause one of the guys wanted some ice cream sandwiches and some razors, I bought a t-shirt and we came back to the dorms. I chatted it up on facebook for a while with a good friend and here I am getting ready for bed, we have mandatory exercise tomorrow, we will be playing Ultimate Frisbee and Ultimate Football, so, should be pretty cool. Charleston on Saturday. should be fun, no accidents this time, hopefully. Cross your fingers for me!!
Also, I found out last Friday that one of my best friends is getting married. Sam Decker is marrying Jadie Ititysyano (It's Japanese) I am super happy for them, they are the perfect couple. I love them both. Congrats man!
Anyways, that is all I have for you. pretty boring/lame update.

Days 6 - 9. Saturday is the best day I think!!
Day 6. Friday.
Today, after class, we went and got a rental car and took for the day. We drove up to Beaufort, South Carolina for a water festival that our instructor had told us about, we got there around 3 pm and it ended up being really lame, a couple of tents and a couple food stands, pretty much nothing to do. So, we decided to drive up to Charleston, South Carolina. We got up there and drove around the town, drove across some really big bridges and kinda saw what the area looked like. We saw an Aircraft Carrier (Huge Navy ship with Fighter Jets on it) and saw a couple really huge ships that carry those big rectangle boxes, it was pretty neat. Anyways, we ended up parking down town and started walking around. We ate at some local pizza place that was pretty good. and then continued exploring the area. We found the Charleston Harbor eventually, which was really cool.
We then just found some places to chill, a couple guys drank and we went to a bar that was exactly like the bar out of "Coyote Ugly" The girls danced on the table and poured drinks into peoples mouths, it was crazy to actually see, but also really really noisy in there, I didn't like how loud it was, I am lame I guess, but I enjoy talking and socializing when I am out rather then just sitting there awkwardly.
After that, we left, by now it is Saturday, and Saturday is where it gets interesting!!!

Charleston Harbor!!
Saturday. Day 7.
Driving home, we were changing highways and going around a huge corner, our driver decided it would be awesome to drive like crap and he took the corner too fast and hit a curb, popped our tire, and bent the crap out of the RIM. So, we quickly swapped it to a spare, the alignment was off by a ton, it was pulling to the right a ton. We drove about 40 miles and our spare popped. So, it is now around 3:30 AM and we are about 15 miles away from our base, with two bad tires and really effed up alignment. We called a tow truck who got there within about 10 minutes which was awesome! But, the bad part of it was, 350 dollar charge. Our driver paid for it. The tow truck driver dropped our car off across the street from our base around 4 am and we walked on and got to bed.
We slept until early afternoon and spent the first part of the afternoon trying to find tires we could buy, nobody had any. We took our crappy tire into an auto store that could possibly fix it, but they ended up saying it was too screwed up (hitting a curb at 60 MPH does a lot to a car I guess) They ordered us a new tire and RIM and said it would be 173 all said and done and would be ready Monday. We took that for that and left. we went back to base and I just played pool and hung out with the guys in our day room (Big screen TV, Pool Table and wireless internet). Everybody decided they were going to go to Hooters that night to watch the UFC fights. So, I added myself to that group, I took a nap and was ready to go at 9. The fights started at 10. Hooters ended up being PACKED and we had to stand outside to watch the fights, but, it was still pretty cool. I had never watched Ultimate Fighting before and it was pretty gnarly. I enjoyed it. After that, we came back and went to bed.
Sunday, Day 8.
Woke up, and ate chow in the chow hall. Went to the day room and basically hung out here all day. Me and a couple guys wanted to go to the Mall, but two girls took the truck that everyone shares and went to the beach. The thing is, they both have there own cars here and basically screwed everyone out of going anywhere because they didn't want to drive there own cars 20 miles to the beach. Which pissed off pretty much everyone. So, we didn't do anything all Sunday. The girls got back about 5 - 6 hours later and by now everything was closed in town, sunday after 6 anywhere pretty much means you don't do anything. But, we took the truck anyways and drove around and explored. We ended up going to a steak house to get some food because someone was REALLY craving Steak (Not me) I got buffalo chicken wings. After that, went back and studied a bit and hit the hay.
Monday, Day 9.
I woke up this morning and about 5 minutes later the door was being knocked on, and I am confused, but I answer it anyways, and and and... It's a man, and he tells me "I am your room mate" What a crappy way to start my Monday. I hadn't had a room mate the whole first week because my original assigned room mate didn't show up to the class (which was just really lucky on my part) But, this guy is a month early to the class he is going to, so, that is why he is my room mate. I am so confused as to why they sent him here a month early. But, he has absolutely nothing to do all day while all the other guys are in class. Anyways, enough about that.. I have a room mate now and that is that.. Class was good, we had a quiz, i missed 2. Not bad. Then we just programmed the equipment all day, it was fun.. After class, we got the truck and went to pick up our new tire. As we picked it up it started to rain, by the time we got to the car it was a down pour, and by down pour, I mean, probably twice as bad as the worst rain storm Utah has ever had. Southern Rain is always about twice as bad as the worst Utah has every seen. They never have a light drizzle here. Just Down pours.. Anyways, we got to the car, and there was about 2 inches of rain water flowing through the parking lot right where the car was, so, we made the best of it, and got the new tire on in about 10 minutes. We were all completely soaked. But, for some reason, it was a lot of fun. Afterwards, I got in and pulled out and the tire was rubbing and the alignment was still effed. So, I drove back to the Car repair place (Savannah Tire) and the tire rubbing was SUPER noisy, I was really embarrassed pulling in the parking lot to the repair shop, the repair guys were all staring at me, I felt stupid. I get out and one repair guys says "Did ya hit something?" I was like "kinda" (since it wasn't me and I didn't feel like telling him our story) I go in and tell the guy who was helping us that we are back for alignment and he knew it was a rental car and basically told us he was going to make it "passable" by rental standards. They had to hammer the tire forward so it wasn't rubbing anymore and made the rental car drivable. . 109 dollars later I was on my way to the airport. We turned it in. No questions asked. Everything is perfect now. So, how much money did our driver spend, 350 + 173 + 109 = 632 or so. Dang.. Well, now I am back in the day room, using the internet, we ate chow. I found out I am going to go see the midnight showing of Harry Potter tomorrow night with a couple guys, we already have tickets, and that is going to be awesome!! I will be going running soon and life is happy. I hope everyone else is good! Seeya!!

Georgia 4 and 5.
Day 4. Wednesday.
Today, went to class. Normal times and everything. We set up the equipment, got out laptops to connect to the equipment with, and started programming on them. Basically, telling it how to work. It's a phone switch, so, we tell it how to make phone calls, what phone numbers, what types of phones, stuff like that. It was a pretty cool day. I basically tell everyone in my class that I am going to hack the crap out of them, but, I have no hacking skills, but they don't know that. So, right now, I am all talk. It's fun. After class, I went to walmart with some guy and a girl (who had a car) because the guy needed some blank cds, and I would rather go places then sit in my room, so, we went to w.mart and then went to this place called "Zaxbys" for dinner, it was a chicken place, sorta like chik-fil-a meets kfc, but better then both of them put together. I had a chicken Parmesan sandwich, after that, I came back, went running about an hour later and just chilled in my room watching the big bang theory and went to bed.. Not a bad day at all.
Day 5. Thursday.
We had our first quiz/test today.. 67 questions, I got 100%, but so did most everybody in the class, it wasn't hard at all. We finished up programming today, made the phones ring, called other peoples phones, and then we were done with the day, which was like 8 hours later.. so, programming and learning about what we were doing and why we did it took most of the day. Afterwards, I played a sweet game of star craft with Samuel Decker, we stomped the comps back, or we won. But saying it was a Comp Stomp is much cooler. After my game with Sam, I ate chow, it was fish and mashed potatoes, pretty much every meal has mashed potatoes and rice, so I alternate between the two. And now I am just in my room for the remainder of the evening. I am going all out lazy today. Just going to relax, and hopefully get to bed at a decent hour, and be ready for the last day of class before the weekend. Then, I should be doing all sorts of fun things around Savannah. Anyways people, keep in touch. Talking to my friends back home makes the time go by quicker and better.

Days 2 and 3 in Georgia!!
Day 2.
Today was basically an orientation day. We had to be to the building by 9, so, me and the two guys I know got up around 7ish and ate breakfast and we were done pretty quick, so I went and laid down for about 30 more minutes and then got ready and headed over. Orientation was basically all about safety, health, protecting equipment and a bunch of stuff, took several hours, we signed some stuff and then they sent us to lunch, after lunch, we went with our instructors to where we will be having class. We talked for about 3 minutes and then he released us for the day, about 2 1/2 hours earlier then a normal day. So, we went back, changed and a few people were going to the mall so we tagged along ("we" is me and the two guys from my unit) I got a new pillow since the ones supplied in our rooms are pretty much crap. I also got a Georgia Lottery ticket, $1 not well spent, I lost. After that, we went back to base, had dinner, and a little later I went running with the guys from home. I finished my day off with a shower and about 4 episodes of The Big Bang Theory, I am getting obsessed with this show.
Day 3.
Class starts at 9, so we did breakfast and headed to class (woke up a little later this time) Today we just basically went over power point slides talking about the equipment, we have our first quiz on Thursday, 67 questions!! Our instructor had some meeting at 1 pm today so he let us out at noon, and we had the rest of the day to do whatever. . So, we borrowed the truck and one other guy came along and we went downtown to "The Riverwalk" it's nothing like San Antonio's, same concept I guess, but it was more wide open and kinda crowded.. Either way, we went through a bunch of shops and it started down pouring while we were in the "Candy Kitchen" (a nice little candy shop that makes there own fudge and salt water taffy and ice cream, we tried a few things, they were all delicious) We just sorta hung out and slowly meandered down the walk, we asked some lady working where some good BBQ was, and she told us.. So we headed that direction (we had to drive) The place she told us was closed though, so, she had told us a second place that was across the street. We went there, it was pretty decent, but I think most of us want to hit up the first place she recommended, she said this guy had won every award you could possibly win with his bar-b-que. So, it should be good. Anyways, we came back to base, I came in my room and fell asleep (Not a good idea, because now I won't be able to fall asleep for my bedtime, so, it looks like i'll be watching some more Big Bang Theory tonight. Anyways, this place is pretty cool, we have a lot more to see and do in the town and the guy running this place wants to take everyone on a tour of Savannah and explain the history of the town and different areas, so that should be pretty cool. Anyways, hope all is well with everyone in Utah. Bye.

Bye.

Day 1 of Savannah, Georgia.
Well, to start off, the Last nine days in Utah were awesome. I spent a ton of time hanging out with my best friends, family and new friends that I met. It went by pretty quickly, but, that just means I was having fun. I departed for Savannah early this morning, I got to the airport at 6:30 AM, Two other guys from Unit are here as well, and one was there at 6:30 as well, so, we checked our baggage and then went and got some breakfast at some place in the airport. Our flight left at 8:25, so we had some time to kill, we both thought the airport would have been pretty busy since it was a Sunday morning on a Holiday weekend. (Nope, super duper slow) Anyways, we ate, chilled and the other guy showed up around 7:30ish. We then went and sat by our gate, boarded and flew to Atlanta, we had about an hour layover, which wasn't bad, we boarded, and then waited on the runway, then the pilot said "when i try and bring the left engine on, the electrical power goes out, we need to go back in and have it checked out"
So, we did that, took nearly 45 minutes before we were able to leave again, but the mechanic fixed it pretty quick, actually, he didn't fix the problem, he more or less bypassed the problem by using a generator. We didn't have any problems in flight though. Got here to Savannah around 4:45ish and a young guy was here to pick us up, he drove us to base, we got rooms, and he showed us where the Chow Hall was, so, me and the two guys went and ate, and I am now awaiting 7:30 to come, so I can take the group van to Walmart to get some essentials.
My room is nice though, 4 beds, I should only have one roommate, I don't have one here yet, so, maybe I will get lucky (fingers crossed) We don't have to be ready for class until 8:45 tomorrow, so, much better then the 6 AM wake ups that I had at Keesler in Mississippi. This should be a good trip though, looking forward to the class.
Hope everyone is good at home. If I didn't see you in my 9 days, I will for sure see you once I get back home again. July 31st is when I get back.
Peace out everybody!!

35, 36, 37, 38. What a glorious amount of days.
35. Sunday.
Today was my day to shine. I didn't have much on my plate. but I ended up doing a lot. kinda. I took the guys in my class to the mall because they wanted some food from the food court and to walk around get cookies.. so, we did that, one guy bought me a super awesome delicious double sided cookie with tons of frosting on the inside (pretty much about a million grams of sugar, but well worth it!!! :) anyways, we did that. I took them back to there hotels and I went to mine.. I had been teetering on the idea of getting the new iphone for about the last 2 weeks. . It had came out this weekend and I was like, hmmm.. should I get one?? I called around to AT&T stores and best buys in the area, no go. They were all sold out, it's a popular device I guess.. So, I decided I would wait it out. but then I got the idea to find an Apple store, they are bound to have iPhones piled up waiting to be bought by me. SO.. I did a quick search on apples website and Wallah.. 92 miles away in the wonderful land of New Orleans was an Apple store.. by now it was about 4:15 and they close at 6 on Sundays.. I had less then 2 hours to drive down there, find the store and make my purchase.. So I hopped in my car and got on the way (also, I had wanted to hit up New Orleans at least once while I was here, just to see how it is doing, two years ago it was still pretty destroyed from the hurricane) I made it down there by 5:45, got inside the mall it was by 5:50 and got in a small line outside the store, I got in and bought the iPhone. What an awesome impulse buy by Brad. Anyways, I am enjoying it. and liking it and no regrets (yet).. I drove back, and hit the hay..
Monday - Wednesday 36 - 38.
Class days are usually always boring.. We learn and troubleshoot the equipment.
Monday we finished up our troubleshooting of some equipment and then tuesday we had to learn the Software of that equipment (basically just reinstalling it if we need to, it took a while though, old SLOOOWWWW computers) so, we did that and then just kinda did nothing the rest of the day.. well, we got prepared to start Full System troubleshooting for Wednesday... Before when we have troubleshot, we have done it in sections, kind of like how a computer has different sections, (the monitor, the keyboard, the mouse, the insides that do all the work... and they all work together to make one big piece of equipment) well, this is a huge piece of equipment with literally thousands and thousands of cables and wires that interface and talk to each other.. Anyways, we prepared for that.. and starting today, we had 7 problems to find.. (this whole system troubleshooting should take us 2 - 3 days) We did the 7 problems in less then 2 hours.. So, we went to lunch and came back and they had 15 problems in the system.. We did those in about 2 hours exactly. We are done now. 2 - 3 days of work in less then a day. Thursday in class is going to be extremely boring and we will be sitting around, hopefully get released early. I fly home Friday now and will be in Utah for 9 days before heading out to Georgia. :) I am very happy about this. anyways.. After class. came to the hotel and went out to Chili's with my buddy who lives here to have a last meal with him before I leave.. Tomorrow my class and I are going to see Transformers, then we all leave. Should be a good last couple days.
Anyways, hope all is well with everyone. BYE..

Tuesday - Thursday. Days 30 - 34.
Tuesday - Friday
These days were class days, did nothing more then just sitting in class and learning. I am in block 7 now. Block 8 is the last block and we will start that next week on Wednesday. Then 3 days of class and I will be on my way home from Mississippi.
Friday after class.
We went and saw the movie "Year One" which I thought was pretty funny. I enjoyed it.
after that, we ate at Which Wich and then went casino hopping for a little while. Ended up at the Beau Rivage, I won 35 dollars. One guy with us won 85. and the other two lost 100 bucks.
After that, it was 9 pm. I drove them to there hotels, and I went to see "The Proposal" because I had nothing better to do. I enjoyed the movie though, it was funny.
Saturday.
I drove up to Mobile, Alabama today for the sole reason of going on a drive. It was about 50 miles away. Wasn't anything too exciting. I had heard it was a cool place. but, it was just like any other town. I did see a HUGE freaking cruise ship, that was pretty cool.
After that, I drove back and took a big nap. Then I went to pick up the guys. We went to the Imperial Palace Casino or the "IP" for short.. We went there to eat at a Brazilian buffet, it was called "Carnival de Brazil" it was exactly like "Rodizio" in Salt Lake City, except way more expensive since it was in a Casino. It was really good food though. I got stuffed.
After that, they wanted to gamble some more. So, we went to gamble at the Beau Rivage again.
This time, 3/4's of us lost 100 dollars. Me being included in the 3. You can't win everytime, and with the 300 I won last week, I still own some of the Beau's money. So, Burn on them.
Now, I am in my room. I just watched the movie "Fan Boys" A movie about star wars nerds. pretty funny movie. and getting ready for some the bed.
So, that is that.
Bye!

26 - 29. . 4 days of me being cool...
Days 26 - 28. Friday - Sunday.
I decided to do the weekend as one big event, rather then day by day..
So, Friday. Normal awesome day that started off with me waking up. and then I was talking to a friend via text and she told me the movie "Up" was good, so I decided, "Hey Brad, you should see up" so I took my own advice and went to see the movie "UP" which, I enjoyed. It was Sad, Cute, Funny and just plain awesome. I liked it and recommend it to those of you who haven't seen it because for some dumb reason you refuse to watch Disney movies, even though they are generally always funnier then any other movie because the writers are actually smart and know what the crap they are doing. . Anyways. back to Friday. After the movie, I ate a half a subway sandwich, and took a nap for a while. Then I woke up and went and got the guys and we went to the Luxurious Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi (which is about 3 miles from my hotel, or about 1 mile from the base) We went to the buffet and gorged ourselves, which was an awesome good time. THEN, we were going to hit up the piano bar and listen to some music, but we had about an hour or so wait before it started, so we sat down at a black jack table, all 4 of us. $15 dollar table, single deck black jack. (which is cool because all other tables are 6 deck black jack which is worse odds for the player) SO, we were playing, and for some reason we all did really good, two other guys sat down at our table and they started doing good too, and before we knew it, it was 1:30 AM and we'd been playing for about 4 - 5 hours and I had won 300 bucks, and another guy with me won 120, and another won 40, and the other one stayed even, (he was up about 200 at one point, but he was really drunk and made stupid decisions with his gambling) But that was that. We went all went to our hotels and crashed. It was a fun night.
Next day. Saturday. I woke up, I think I probably watched about 18 episodes of Arrested Development (I probably just exaggerated that by about 13, but whose counting?) anyways, I did that, and then me and two of the guys went to see "Take of Pelham 123" Which I thought to be a pretty good movie. But, as I've probably stated before, I enjoy pretty much every movie I see. Except for Hellboy 1 & 2, I hated those movies with a passion. Anyways, after the movie, we did nothing and all went to our hotels, and I finished up Season 2 Disk 2 of Arrested Development. and then got to bed earlier then Friday.
Sunday. Today the two guys across the street in the other hotel were able to move onto base, so I drove them to base at noon (which was check out time of the hotel they were in) and they found out that they couldn't check in until 2:00 pm.. So we had time to kill. We went to this sandwich shop called "Which Wich" and it's a way good place. They make super custom sandwiches, which are way better then just custom sandwiches (I made that decision) and they have really good shakes too.. So, we did that, went to walmart and I got a haircut which was awesome fun for the other guys! then we walked around, I bought season 1 of a tv show called "Chuck" which was recommended to me by my friend Kellie's Husband Matthew. and then, we did nothing but drove around for like 30 minutes, I was exploring the bowels of Mississippi and listening to comedy, and the other guys were pretty bored I think, but I didn't really care. I was trying to find cool things (didn't find crap though).. well, 2 o clock finally came, and I took them to the new hotel on base and bid them farewell. I then went to my room and watched Arrested Development and finished up Season 2. I got taco bell and showered and went to bed. All in all it was a good weekend.
Day 29. Monday.
Went to school. Finished troubleshooting for block 5 and started on block 6. . We finished all the homework in class within about an hour and a half (mostly because the teacher didn't want to teach and just let us do homework) we will start on the lecture tomorrow and get into troubleshooting by the afternoon I bet. After class, I skipped mandatory pt again, went to the gym, then came to the hotel, ate some easy mac while starting on season 3 of arrested development. I showered. Went and got a chocolate shake and fries from burger king. came back. episode 2 of season 3 of that show I watch. and here I am. Chatting on Facebook. Blogging. and it's 8:12, so I should be getting ready for bed. So, I think I will do that now. Goodnight ya'll (that is how they would say it here, in the dirty south)

Days 23 - 25
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Instead of doing a day by day breakdown of these days, I am just going to ramble about generalities of the days. They all start and finish the same. School then doing nothing in my hotel til I fall asleep.
I stopped drinking caffeine and soda this week, just to see how my body reacts. Mostly, I was tired all week, but I don't know if it was because of the no caffeine. I got 8 hours of sleep every night and woke up feeling either sorta refreshed or sorta still groggy and tired. But throughout the day I would be yawning like crazy and fell asleep a couple times in class. So, I don't know if my body is better on 7 hours, or better on 8.. we will see, I am going to studies and tests on myself to find out. Next week will be 7 hours of sleep week with no caffeine still.
Anyways. I didn't do much of anything during the week this week. After class I mostly just watched Arrested Development and chatted it up on the facebook and msn messenger. I attempted to play star craft with my good buddy Sam Decker, but we only got one game in before the hotel internet decided to show it's true colors and be retarded. I then got my internet running through my cell phone using T-Mobile as my new reliable internet, but, it was too slow and the game didn't work out at all. So, we gave up on Wednesday at 8:49 PM CST, it was a sad day for everyone.
Last night (Thursday) I did go see Terminator again. I went with my buddy who lives here, he hadn't seen it and I didn't mind seeing it again. Afterwards, I went and played a little blackjack because it was only 9 pm and I didn't want to call it a night yet, since today (friday) I have no class. I played for a while and didn't win any money, so, I came back to my room and turned on the tv.. And this is where my life got really interesting.. New paragraph just to describe it..
I was watching the second episode of a new show on Comedy Central called "Tosh.0" it's a comedian I really like "Daniel Tosh" who finds funny/gross/disturbing things on the internet and makes fun of them and he is a funny guy, so it's awesome.. Anyways, last week after his first show I sent him a tweet on twitter telling him this "@danieltosh Your show was the coolest comedian run show i've ever seen. Granted I've only seen two, yours is the best out of those two!!!" On episode two he started talked about all the good reviews he has been getting for his brand new show, and he ended up showing what I said, it also had a picture of me right by it and had my sign in name "Mrcoolbrad" I sat in shock for about 10 seconds then got really excited and text messaged my closest friends and then hopped on my laptop and updated my status on facebook and myspace about it. It was cool seeing myself on Comedy Central and saying something that was funny/stupid enough to make one of my favorite comedians tv show.

Here is a picture of it from the show!!

Other then that, this takes me into Friday. It's 10 AM here, I am laying in my bed being the laziest person I can possibly be and just relaxing. I think we are going to go see Taking of Pelman 123 sometime this weekend and the guys who live in the hotel across the street from me are moving on base for the next 3 weeks, so I am going to drive them and there stuff to there new hotel. I am staying off base though, which is nice because I get more money to stay off base and I get to keep the rental car.
So. That is that. I hope all is well with my 3 - 4 readers. You guys have an awesome time!

Day 19. Day 20. Day 21 and DAY 22!!! WOAH.
Day 19. Friday.
Friday, good day. Class got out at 11 AM instead of 3 pm, and my classmates and I went back to our rooms and got into civilian clothes and went straight to the movie theaters to see "Land of the Lost". I thought the movie was awesome. I liked it. I liked Will Ferrell in it. I liked Danny Mcbride in it. It was a good movie in my eyes. After that, I think we went to dinner somewhere, or the we went to the mall. I think it was the mall first. We went to the mall because one of the kids wanted to get some smokes from some smoke shop there, but they didn't sell the type he wanted and then told him that they were so unpopular that they stopped selling them a long time ago.. So, we left the mall and went to eat at this place called "The Shed" It's a BBQ joint here that plays live music on weekend nights and is supposed to be Amazing! I had a pulled pork sandwich and it was pretty delicious, comparable to my favorite place in Salt Lake called "Pats BBQ" Pats is still better though. After this we all went back to our rooms and called it a night. I ended up watching a chick flick. "He's just not that into you" and it was a decent movie. I am not gay though or a girl. so I didn't LOOOVE it like some girls that I know... you know who you are.
Anyways. that was Friday.
Day 20. Saturday.
Today. I Slept in like a maniac. Texted the guys and we all went to see "The Hangover" around 3 pm. During the early hours I think I just played on facebook/myspace and twitter because I am in Mississippi and I really do not know what else to do here.. But, that movie was also awesome and hilarious and awesome. We all laughed a lot in the movie. After that, we grabbed some dinner at this place here called hooters.. i said it like it doesn't exist in Utah. but it does. The 36 year old married guy recommended it, the 21 and 22 year old single guys said "OKAY!" and I Brad Hintze being the driver went along with the majority ruling. Though, I do say, my Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was delicious. I very much enjoyed it. After that, we drove around the coast for a bit, couldn't think of anything else to do, so I took everyone back to there rooms. I then went to Ruby Tuesdays to say Hey to that married lady that I met last week, she is leaving to Germany soon and is the nice person in the South that I have met so far, and she said to come visit her before she left, so I chatted with her until my buddy who lives her called me and wanted to go "hit the club" so, I went to Walmart and got me a 5 dollars polo shirt to club with, and met him at the Beau Rivage Casino. We first went into the Dueling Piano bar they have there to listen to some music, it was crowded, but kinda cool, I think I am going back there this weekend for a longer experience. But, after the piano place, we went over to the club, and it was hopping and crazy. I have never experienced clubbing before, it was my first time, and there was tons of people, about a million guys trying to get with 10 specific girls. So, my buddy and I just kept moving around. He finally got me to dance with some girl and she was married, but really nice and though we couldn't really talk because the music was loud, I learned that she was indeed married and from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and up here for a girls night to party. This was the only dance I got that night. The rest of the time was me just dancing like a doofus and trying to look cool (though I thought I looked super cool, I don't think anybody else did) we left after about 2 hours of nothing and I went back to the hotel and fell asleep.
Day 21. Sunday.
Slept in again. woke up, and watched about 7 consecutive episodes of "Arrested Development" a show i'm learning to love and get addicted to. Once I finally showered, I started my laundry in the hotel laundromat, which is actually just 1 dryer and 1 washer right outside my room, I think it is supposed to be for this whole place, but nobody ever uses it, so I paid the 1.25 and went to town. During Laundry time and after, I watched more Arrested Devolopment and got about 14 episodes in, It is an easy show to watch, please don't judge me.
After I was maxed out on watching tv on my laptop and sitting in a uncomfortable hotel chair, I went driving to find me some food. I drove for about 20 minutes, passing everything, nothing sounded good. not at all. Until Finally. I found the place of my dreams, the one place that sounded so delectably amazing I was forced to pull in immediately and go inside. This place of course was "Popeyes Chicken" I got myself a Chicken Bowl (which is way different then a KFC chicken bowl, it has beans and rice in it, very good) so, as I said in my parenthesis, it was very good and it hit the spot. I then went back to my hotel, watched one more episode of Arrested Development and was asleep by 8:30 pm.
Day 22. Monday.
Monday, I woke up to my hotel phone ringing, and I was confused, so I didn't answer. it was 4:15 AM. My alarms are set for 4:30 and I snooze them until 4:50. It stopped ringing for like 10 seconds then started again, and I picked it up and it said "Good Morning. This is your wake up call...." so i hung up immediately and closed my eyes for the next 15 minutes. I never set a wake up call and I don't know who did. I don't think it was my classmates, so, maybe they made a mistake, or somebody is out to get me. It's hard to say.. Either way, I got up at my normal time and went to class, we finished Troubleshooting for Block 4 and got our books for Block 5 and started on homework. After class, I went to the gym (skipped mandatory PT with the school house, hehehe) and worked out, and then played raquet ball with the 2 other guys that came with. After that, we went to Subway, I got me a foot long turkey and ham sandwich on white. Good stuff. Came here, to my hotel, watched 3 episodes of Arrested Development and I am not on the downward spiral of me being tired and getting ready for bed. I hope everyone is great back home. I know my good friend Andrea is amazing today. She got some awesome news and her life will improve by about 1000% (yes one thousand) I am very happy for her and her little baby. :)
Anyways. Goodbye everybody.

Days 17 and 18 are pretty sweet.
Day 17 and 18 are pretty much the same as the rest.. Went to school and came back to the hotel and did a lot of nothing and went to bed.
I've decided to show some pictures and try and explain a little more about the equipment and what I do, since about 99% of the people I know do not have a clue of what I do.

This is the inside of the equipment I am training on.

This is a pretty crappy picture, but the big rectangle van on the right is the equipment from the outside..

This is a radar that plugs into the OM via Fiber cable and gives us an Air Picture on the screens to show what Air places are flying around, and details about the planes, Altitude, Speed, Friend or foe.. Plus a lot more stuff.

This is the Screen or "OCU" (Operator Console Unit) inside the OM, It looks like a bunch of nothing on the screen to us, but to that guy, it's a lot of information..

Here is a good picture of a couple OM's linked together, you can see the Air/Heat behind them and the huge air ducts going to and from the OM, and the Radar in the background.

Here is another shot of the inside. Notice how small it is in there.
I am responsible for all the equipment on the inside, and Maintenance is usually done on the inside. You get 3 - 4 people in there, and it gets cramped!
I found a website that says exactly what the OM Does. They call it a TAOM though, which is the long name for it. Tactical Air Operations Module.
The TAOM may be employed singly, or in multi-TAOM configurations. It accomplishes the mission by performing the following functions:
* Detection, identification, and classification of all aircraft and missiles within the area of responsibility.
-Basically we see what planes are flying around, Make sure they are good, and if they are bad, we talk to the planes and let them know what is up.
* Track management of each aircraft, missile, and ship.
-Make sure they are doing what they say they are doing.
* Data transmission, reception, and forwarding with other agencies
-We can forward our radar to other OM's and receive information from other OM's, also, we have radios that can talk a great distance (the antennas on the roof help with some of that)
* Evaluation of the threat potential of enemy aircraft and missiles, and the selection and assignment of weapons to engage hostile threats
-This is the operators making sure the enemy aircraft get what is coming to them :)
* Engagement control of friendly interceptor aircraft and surface-to-air missiles against enemy threats
- Same type of stuff, but protecting us.
* Control of airspace and air traffic within the area of responsibility
-Basically same as #1, we control air space. After 9/11, my unit was activated for a full year and controlled all the airspace around Salt Lake, they also did this for the 2002 Olympics here.
Anyways, that is my life, learning the equipment. I do not talk to planes or anything of that nature, I basically learn what all the equipment does on the inside, learn why it does it, and if it breaks, How I can get it working again really fast, so that the OM isn't down for very long.
Any questions, just ask.
Hope everybody is great!!

This is Day 15 and also Day 16!!
Monday.
Today we finished up troubleshooting on one section of the equipment and once we were done with that, we were done with Block 2. We started Block 3 right after lunch and got our new packets and started on homework and basically did that until the end of the day. After, instead of going to mandatory exercise, I skipped it and went to the gym instead which was way better then the bull crap that they make us do. One of the kids in my class came with me and the two others went to the mandatory exercise like good little boys. After that, I went back to my room, ate some delicious Peanut butter and Jelly sandwiches and watched tv until bed time.. Didn't do much. BUT.. Sunday, I watched MTV Movie Awards and it was some of the funniest TV I have watched in a while.
This is one of the funny skits from the show..
Anyways, On to Tuesday!!!
Tuesday.
We finished up all the powerpoints/lecture for Block 3 around 1 pm today and started on Troubleshooting. Each group had time to fix one problem and then we got released out of class 30 minutes early. After that, I took the guys to the fast internet hotel to do Laundry and after that we ordered a pizza and ate it at Airman Piedra's hotel room.. Before that though, I went to the gas station to buy a water before heading to his hotel room (because he was already there) My dad called while in the gas station, so I hung back for a minute to talk, but then I needed to leave, so I went up and the lady at the counter said this verbatim "WHY DON'T YOU GET OFF THE PHONE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN HERE FOR 20 MINUTES AND THE OTHER GUY WOULD HAVE HELPED YOU EARLIER SO YOU DIDN'T STAND AROUND" I said "I've been here for like 2 minutes" "NO YOU HAVE NOT" "Yes I have, ask him, he saw me come in" "HE WAS THE ONE YELLING AT YOU" "Okay..." She finished ringing me up and I said "bye lady".. But holy crap, what a dumb freaking lady. Anyways, that is Mississippi for you.. ha.
Will Ferrell is on Man vs. Wild tonight, so I will be watching that and then going to bed. I hope everyone is great.

Days 12, 13 and 14...
Friday.
Today I woke up and had to wash my uniforms. So, I went to the fast internet hotel and did my laundry for free and played online for a while. After that I went back to my room, showered, and I went and rented a couple movies from Red Box. Quantum of Solace and Max Payne. Both were okay in my eyes, Max Payne was probably my favorite out of the two. I ate at some Mexican Restaurant that was Mediocre at best and that was my Friday. Very Uneventful. but that is okay.
Saturday.
First thing I did was returned my dvds, called the guys and we met up around 1:00 and went to eat lunch at Beef O Bradys. I had a Mushroom swiss cheeseburger and it was pretty good, after that we went to see "Drag me to Hell" It was also pretty good.. I like the idea of the movie, but it could have had better actors for the parts and maybe better dialogue, Justin Long is not somebody you want in a horror movie, he is funny and if Will Ferrell was in a horror movie I wouldn't be scared at all, i'd be laughing the whole time. anyways, I still enjoyed the movie. After that, we went to the mall because of the kids wanted to buy some cigars from a smoke shop, and we walked around there for about 10 minutes before we decided we were bored out of our minds. We then went to a golf shop and barnes and nobles because they were right next door to eachother and one of the kids bought about 8 books to keep him busy the rest of our time here, he can read a 500 page book in a day if he wants... THEN.. I took everyone back to there hotels and I went to Ruby Tuesdays by myself and had a delicious shrimp pasta and talked with my server for a while, she is married to an air force guy and moving to Germany in a few weeks, she was cool and nice. After my dinner, I went back to my hotel, watched a movie and fell asleep pretty shortly after.
Sunday.
Today is just beginning but I already have this day mapped out. It started with a shower, I am now at the fast internet hotel doing the rest of my Laundry and will go grab Lunch right after this and also see if I can find dvd copies of "Arrested Development", I have seen the first few episodes and I decided it's time I got myself hooked on this show., After the lunch and dvd search, I will go to my hotel and probably read for a while and watch tv and this should take me into the evening, once it is the evening, I will go to dinner somewhere, probably Waffle House since it is close and convenient to get to. AND THEN.. I will watch the Mtv Movie Awards. Andy Samberg is hosting this year and he is a funny guy. So, we'll see how those are.. I will then try and be in bed by 10 at the latest and be up nice and early for class!!! Awesome stuff.
Anyways, I hope everyone is good.

Day 11 has come.
Thursday.
Started out in class reading some power points, that was over within an hour and then we got into troubleshooting. Our teacher went and put problems into the equipment and we had to use the T.O's and our own intelligence to figure out what was going on. It made the day go by really quick and it was fun. So, we did that until 2:30. Our instructor had to be to a meeting at 3 (normal get out of school time) so he let us go early, we all decided we wanted to skip the mandatory PT and just went back to our rooms. but, we were not there for long, we all showered, I went and picked everyone up then we went to Barnes and Noble to look at books for a bit, then we went and saw star trek right after that. I had already seen the movie, but I liked it a lot so I didn't mind seeing it again. After star trek we went to TGI Fridays and that was pretty delicious. Then we couldn't figure out anything else to do, so I took everyone back to there rooms and I went back to mine and I started watching TV because the internet was broke in my hotel (it breaks often, it's annoying and stupid) I realized I was super tired and fell asleep. And that was Thursday.. What an exciting awesome super cool day to the max!!!
I think we are going to try and get to a dueling piano bar sometime this weekend and we are also going to see drag me to hell sometime this weekend. We'll see how it all plays out.
Bye Everybody.

So, Guess what. I am not going to wear shorts outside anymore!! I am a thinker, yeah?
Anyways, Just wanted to do this quick update.

Let's talk about 9 and 10 this time...
Tuesday.
Like any other normal class day, I effing woke up. Got ready and picked up the other dudes at 5:25, ate some breakfast and started class at 6.
Class was good today. We went over System Administrator stuff for the equipment, basically stuff that was really easy, but it sure was time consuming, it lasted almost the entire day and a little into Wednesday. SO, class was a good one. After class I took the other two guys who are staying off base to a hotel on base that has free washers and dryers, and in the mean time we went to another hotel and used fast free internet and chilled. .
After all that, I went and got some dinner with my old buddy from 2 years ago. It was cool to catch up with him on life for the last 2 years and talk about the funny crap that we used to do in class two years ago.. We went to some place called Beef O Bradys and it was pretty delicious. After that, Went back to the hotel and fell asleep watching "The Office"
Wednesday.
Same start as all class days. Started class going over homework and then we went and did some more of the administrator tasks. That lasted until lunch time and after lunch we just went over power point slides and looked at diagrams out of the T.O's . After class we had PT. the mandatory exercise here is pretty ridiculous. We did 20 second intervals, basically, 20 seconds of pushups, then situps, then squats, then diamond pushups, then crunches and so on and so forth for about 20 minutes or so. Then after that we ran up and down stairs for 15 minutes straight. I don't feel any more "fit" or anything.
Anyways, it was very hot today and super humid. After all the exercising, I went to subway, got tuna fish flat bread sandwich, and now I am just in my room watching that 70's show waiting for my body to get tired. Hope everyone is awesome.

The Seventh and Eighth day.
Sunday.
Sunday was a good day. I slept in, relaxed the morning away. I two movies from Red Box that I went and returned and then got 2 more movies. So I married an Axe Murderer and Blades of Glory. I also got some more food from Walmart for my room and got a Hair Cut at Walmart as well. I was surprised at how good my hair cut was too. She did better then Any Super Cuts and/or Great Clips back home.. After that, I am pretty sure I came back to my room and took a nap, I had no reason to be tired, but I was really bored and a nap just sounded awesome and great. After that I grabbed some dinner at the local Waffle House and came back to my room and watched my movies and got to bed.
Monday.
I relaxed the crap out of this morning. Then I got unlazy and showered and went to Barnes and Noble to read and just chill for a while. I almost went to a movie, but I decided against it, I need to slow down on the movies or I'll have nothing to do because i'll have seen everything. After that I returned my redbox movies and came back to my room and just watched tv while chatting on facebook. Star Wars was on, so, I watched that. About 3/4s into it, I decided I was hungry so I drove around and the best food I could find was Subway. SO.. i got some subway and it was delicious. ALSO. I forgot this part until just now. I found out that I know somebody who lives here, He was in my class from last time I was here and his mom lives here and he lived in Arizona and was thinking about moving back, so, I text messaged him and he moved back last year, so, Now I have somebody to chill with and help pass the time. Should be awesome. Anyways, that is my Monday. Only 3 days of class this week, it's a 3 day weekend. We get every other Friday off here. Anyways. Bye.

Day 5 & 6 :D
Friday. What a good day. We had class and went through a lot of stuff on the equipment that I didn't know previously, so that is good stuff. And since it was Friday, we didn't have PT after class and our teacher even let us go about 30 minutes early (which was awesome of him) I went back to my hotel and took a two hour nap and then woke up and showered and made a PB&J sandwich and went and saw the movie "Dance Flick" It wasn't that great, I don't know why I keep seeing this crappy spoof movies, they have gone down hill ever since scary movie 2.. Anyways, After that I called my good friend Andrea and talked to her for a bit and talked to her little sister to try and cheer her up, which hopefully I did..?? BUT, after that I went and played a little black jack at the local casino and won 100 dollars pretty quickly, the table got crowded so I went to a different table and lost that 100 dollars. So, I went back to my room and watched TV until I fell asleep.
SATURDAY!!
Today was awesome since I slept in. I woke up around 9 or 10 and just kinda laid in bed not sleeping or even thinking, just laying and relaxing, it was a good time.. Once I did finally get up I went to walmart and got some q-tips so I can keep the ear wax out of my ears and also bought a movie and some fruit loops and more easy mac.. I then went to best buy to see if they had mobile broadband internet (AT&T or Verizon internet for laptops) They did and it's kinda expensive and I wouldn't need it after Mississippi. So, I took off and went and picked up the guys in my class and we went to the mall to get some lunch and then we went and saw "Terminator: Salvation" and it was a pretty good movie, they kinda complained about it, but I still enjoyed it, But I enjoy most movies I see. After that I dropped everyone and off and went to the base theater to see what time they play movies and what movies were playing this weekend (they play older movies for some reason) The only movie worth seeing played at 2:00 pm today and it was about 5 when I was there, the next movie "Knowing" started at 6:30 and I did not want to go see that because I already saw it once. SO.. I left base and came back to my room and here I am. It is currently 6:48 PM Local Time and I am going to see "A Night at the Museum 2" at 7:30.. Hopefully it's good, and then maybe i'll come back here and watch tv until I go to bed. But, that is my life and weekend so far. Hope everybody is doing super duper, well I hope the one person who probably reads this is doing super duper.. haha!!

Day 4 is a good one.
So, Like always, I was up at 4:30 and to my ride at 5:10 and to our Chow Hall at about 5:25 AM..
Class was good, we did some troubleshooting in the equipment, the instructors put faulty circuit cards in and hooked up bad cables and we had to figure the problems out by using the T.O. which was explained in my last post. Then we learned a little bit more and did some stuff on the computers in the equipment. After class, ran 20 minutes and was the quickest runner, some guy kept up with me and told me good job after, I told him it was because I came from Utah and running at sea level is definitely easier.
BUT.. Today I got some awesome news, My boss back home, Major Mcguire, was able to get me approved for a Rental Car, and I went and picked it up after class. I now have transportation. So, I drove around a bit and found some hole in the wall bbq place and assumed it would be good.. BOY WAS I WRONG... It was terrible. I threw 3/4's of it away.
I am now half way into watching the Colbert Report, and this weekend should be filled with a few movies and possibly some Black Jack at some local casino. We'll see how it goes. Anyways everybody. Have fun! and stay awesome.

Day 3 here in this place.
So, I am working on getting a rental car. One of my supervisors at home is doing all he can so I can start driving places such as Food places.. So, hopefully that works out for me.
Anyways, today started off at 4:30 AM, I caught my ride at 5:10 AM and went to eat at the chow hall. Got to class at 6 and we just went over homework and opened up the T.O's on the equipment (T.O. is like a manual that is about 18 books long and about 800 pages in each book) SO, we went through the T.O's learning stuff and did some more homework and that was basically my whole day at school.
After school I had Mandatory P.T. (Physical Training) We had to run 6 laps around the track and in between each lap we did 20 push ups and 25 crunches. It was pretty tiring after about the 3rd lap, but I was in the Fast group and was always the fastest runner (mostly because I was only running with older guys) haha. Anyways, Tonight has been full of Easy Mac and a PB & J and more episodes of scrubs so far. I will hopefully be asleep within an hour and get like 10 hours of sleep tonight. Anyways. Hope everybody is good at home. Send me text messages or facebook messages, pretty much anything, I need contact with everyone!!

Days 1 and 2 in Mississippi.
Hey Everyone. I decided to keep a blog of my 6 weeks in Mississippi. It may be boring but, Either way. It will be cool.
So, First day. I flew out of SLC at 8:20 AM, arrived in Dallas around 12:30 local time and sat around until 3:15 and then got on my plane that was about 30 minutes late by now.. Then we sat on the runway still connected to the terminal for about 45 more minutes and then finally flew off.. I arrived in Mississippi around 5:30 PM and took a cab to Keesler Air Force Base.. Cost me about 45 bucks and by me, I mean it cost the military 45 bucks because I don't pay for that kinda stuff :) :) I am pretty sure the lady was taking weird turns and took me down side roads to make my bill higher, I don't know though? Anyways.. Got to my base, went into the onbase lodging and found out they were full, they called me a cab to go stay at the Luxurious Super 8 Motel in D'Ibberville, MS. Before the cab was able to pick me up a Retired General came and offered me a ride, So I said yes and he drove me to my room. He was a very nice old man and him and his wife kept me entertained on the 10 minute drive.
I checked into my room for 6 weeks and went in and unpacked, showered and then went to eat a Waffle House, they have these "Waffle Houses" all over Mississippi, comparable to how many LDS church houses are in Utah.. They are EVERYWHERE. I walked around a bit more and found a pawn shop and a liquor store, that is all there is around my hotel.. BUT, I just barely found out that the huge movie theaters in this town are 2.5 miles away by foot, so I will walk there this weekend to see some movies. I may also buy a cheap bike from Walmart so I can ride places rather then walk (saves time).. Back to the 1st day. I came back to my room and turned on the tv and fell asleep. That is that.
DAY 2...
I woke up at 4:30, called base transportation and they said they'd be here at 5:10.. So, I got dressed and walked to the gas station and got a muffin and then came back and waited for a couple more minutes and went and caught my ride.. I was about 40 minutes early to class So me and a kid who is staying in the hotel across the street from me went to the chow hall and got a little bit of food (he ended up being in my class) After food we went to our school house and found our instructors and class was supposed to start at 6 but one of the other students thought class started at 7 and was way late, so we just chilled until he got there.. After he arrived we took our first break and it was like 25 minutes long, which was rad. . Breaks should only be about 10 - 15 minutes long. So, after break we just went through orientation stuff, introductions and got familiar with some of the stuff we'll be learning. We took a couple more breaks, had some lunch and then learned more.. After class I had a Traffic Safety Briefing (which is for people who drive, I don't drive, so, it was pointless) I then got some food from the store to keep in my room and came back to my room and showered and watched 2 episodes of scrubs, did some homework from class and watched 3 episodes of Family Guy. I am currently on my 4th episode. This place is prety boring. I have a lot to miss at home and I am missing it like crazy. Anyways, Goodnight friends and family. I love you all.
